Good morning Division 2! Well this will certainly become a Spring Break to remember! Firstly, I want you each to know that I miss you all terribly and nothing would make me happier than being back in the classroom with all of you. Unfortunately with Covid19, that is not possible at the moment, but we will get through this together. I hope you each had some time to get to relax over Spring Break, especially with the sunshine in the first week! I took that time to teach Sophie to learn how to ride her bike without training wheels!
These next few weeks will be full of learning for all of us, but especially me as I learn to use all of these new online resources. As teachers, we still don't fully know what things are going to look like, but we are starting to get a better idea. We will be planning for the first few days this week and be contacting you all on Thursday. In the meantime, there are a couple of things I would like you to do by Wednesday if you can. 1. Write a brief journal entry in the P.A.R. about how this pandemic has impacted you. 3-5 sentences is all that is needed. 2. Pick a novel to read at your reading level and get started! There are options to find ebooks, order some of Amazon or Indigo, and even access ebooks through the school online library. 3. Try logging in to your Surrey Schools and access your email. When you go to surreyschools.ca, the email link is at the top right corner. 4. Respond to the family meeting questions below. Family Meeting Questions: Post your responses to these questions in the P.A.R. (comments section). What was one fun thing you did on your Spring Break? What is one thing you are nervous about with our new online learning format? Is there anything you are excited about for our new online learning format? (besides the fact that every day is pyjama day:) P.A.R.: Respond to the Family Meeting Questions and write your journal entry, all in one comment please.
