Homework: Math 6: pg 293, # 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14 Grade 6's who did the Math rewrite-comment on your rewrite on FreshGrade about what you did differently this time that allowed you to improve. Take a picture of your test and upload it if you can. Math 7: See your teachers' websites. Social Studies: Ancestral Essay due Wednesday, November 8th INTERIMS Go over your interim with your parents and show off your FreshGrade portfolios! Have your parents comment on a few of the activities. Please remember that parent comments are most beneficial when they are specific. Some good sentence starters could be: I really like how you did..... I am proud of how you.... I noticed you were approaching expectations on.....I wonder if you could have ....(This not only points out an area that needs improvement, but offers a suggestion for making it better.) "In your reflection, you said you needed to work harder to prepare for your math test. How will you do this? Maybe next time I could help quiz you." These are just a few examples to help get you started but the important thing is that parents and their children are sitting down to discuss the learning that is taking place. Reminders The Think We team is collecting food for the local food bank for We Scare Hunger. Our goal is to collect one non-perishable food item per child (and me). Please try to bring anything you can tomorrow and place it on the back table in the morning. P.A.R.: What were your first thoughts about the Circle of Courage? Be honest. Why do you think these traits that we discussed tended to fit into more than one category?
