Today we had quite the day! In the morning after band we participated in the Halloween Parade with all of the other classes. In the afternoon we had our Halloween Party. Levi, Lillian and Madison performed a dance for us and we had a dance competition. There was a lot of food, both nutritional and not-so-nutritional. Thank you so much to the Halloween Committee for putting this together for us!
Math 6: pg 298 #2a, 4, 6, 7, 8. If you didn't finish in class, finish it tomorrow morning after Daily Practice. Don't do it tonight:) No homework for Mack or Amanda either. Math 7: See your teachers' website. Social Studies: Ancestral Essay due Wednesday, November 8th INTERIMS (Because I still haven't gotten most of them back!) ****If your parents are having trouble logging on, have them go back to the invitation email that I sent them originally. They then create an account from there. If they can't find it, let me know tomorrow and I will resend the invite to them. Go over your interim with your parents and show off your FreshGrade portfolios! Have your parents comment on a few of the activities. Please remember that parent comments are most beneficial when they are specific. Some good sentence starters could be: I really like how you did..... I am proud of how you.... I noticed you were approaching expectations on.....I wonder if you could have ....(This not only points out an area that needs improvement, but offers a suggestion for making it better.) "In your reflection, you said you needed to work harder to prepare for your math test. How will you do this? Maybe next time I could help quiz you." These are just a few examples to help get you started but the important thing is that parents and their children are sitting down to discuss the learning that is taking place. P.A.R.: No required post tonight.
