Today the students had a relatively productive day where we worked diligently on our Halloween stories which are due next Friday. I had a chance to read some of them and they are really suspenseful! I look forward to reading them all. We also worked hard on our Hockey Math, collecting the latest statistics about our players. On Friday, December 2nd my uncle, Darcy Rota will be coming in to speak to our class about leadership, perseverance, and grit and hopefully share some of his stats as well. In the afternoon we completed our FreshGrade Fill Up. Students uploaded pictures of their math tests (except six Grade 7 students who do not have theirs in hand yet) and everyone commented on their tests. They also set reading and math goals for themselves for this term using SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely). Their goals should be specific and attainable and definitely measurable; otherwise you wouldn't know if you achieved it! Math 6: If you are planning on doing the rewrite on Tuesday at lunchtime, do your corrections on your test for Monday. Have fun dancing Scholastic book orders due Monday P.A.R.: 1. Pick one thing that we've talked about this week or that you've learned about. Explain what you learned and why you're interested in it. Please do not just say "Ancestral Essay cuz it's cool." Try to explain something you've learned and why you found it interesting. 2. Make a suggestion for how we can improve our family meetings as our current format does not seem to be working very well. How can we make it better?
